Located on a long stretch of under-utilized commercial street frontage, this 46-unit building is part of a revitalization effort for this area of the city. Working closely with the Long Beach Planning Department, the intent is to have the units at the street level activate the street. Townhouse units wrap around the parking on the ground floor; entry stoops encourage residents and guests to walk or take public transportation. This is facilitated by the fact that the Metro Blue Line light rail passes directly in front of the site. The building entry is a 2-story high space with terraced planters and an opening allowing views into the courtyard.
